Stallholder eligibility requirements
Kew Fayre Ltd welcomes all potential stallholders to apply for a spot at Kew Fayre 2008. However certain criteria must be met in order for Kew Fayre Ltd to comply with local council, health and safety and public liability requirements. Below are a list of minimum requirements for
stallholders at Kew Fayre
2008.
Stallholders are required to provide
provision for the collection of rubbish generated
by their stalls. Recycling is encouraged at Kew Fayre
and recycling bags will be
provided.
General stallholders (including charities)
Each stallholder must hold, and provide evidence of, £1 million public liability insurance (covering participation in this event).
Stallholders whose trade, profession or practice is regulated in any way (licensed, certified or otherwise regulated), must provide evidence of compliance with such regulations.
Weaponry of any kind (guns, replica guns, air guns, stun devices, repellant chemical sprays, ammunition, knives, swords, sabres, etc.), including antiques and collectables, are not permitted for sale or display at Kew Fayre 2008.
Charities must provide proof of charitable status.
Food and beverage concessions
Stallholders intending to sell food and/or beverages for consumption on site must hold, and provide evidence of, £1 million public liability insurance (covering participation in this event).
Stallholders must provide evidence of compliance with current Health and Safety and hygiene requirements.
Sale or raffle of alcoholic beverage
Stallholders selling or otherwise offering alcoholic beverage for sale, gift or prize must hold, and provide evidence of, £1 million public liability insurance (covering participation in this event).
Stallholders selling or otherwise offering alcoholic beverage for sale, gift or prize must obtain a licence from the licensing authority (a copy of which must be provided to the Kew Fayre Trust).
Restricted Stall Activities
The following activities are subject to exclusive agreement with Kew Fayre Ltd by prior arrangement. Unless you have been in contact with Kew Fayre Ltd about engaging in one of these activities at Kew Fayre 2008 you will not be eligible to have this activity as a part of your stall.
The sale of alcoholic beverage for consumption on site
The sale of coffee or tea for consumption on site
The sale of burgers, hot dogs, chips or ice cream for consumption on site
The sale of soft beverages (whether bottled, canned, draught or otherwise) for consumption on site
The operation of a fairground or funfair (or single attractions normally found in a fairground or funfair)
The operation of a petting zoo, reptile attraction, animal rides or horse drawn cart rides
The operation of a ‘Pick a Ticket’ stall (match ticket to win cuddly toy)
The operation of a fruit and vegetable or ‘Green Grocer’ stall
The number of stalls that sell jewellery are limited by Kew Fayre Ltd. Jewellery stalls are awarded on a first come - first served basis.
Kew Fayre Ltd reserves the right to refuse applications. Once your application has been accepted fees paid cannot normally be refunded.
